England captain Harry Kane passed scored a brace in Bayern Munich’s 4-2 win over FC Heidenheim, bring his Bundesliga goal to 17 from 11 games.
He surpassed last season 16 goals mark jointly achieved by Niclas Fullkrug and Christopher Nkunku. It was also Kane’s 20th goal in all competition, having scored three in the Champions League.
Kane looks almost certain to win this season’s Golden Boot, while he could even break the all-time record for highest number of goals scored in a Bundesliga season.
That record currently stands at 41 goals and was set by Robert Lewandowski in the 2020/21 campaign.
Kane scored 30 goals in his final Premier League season for Tottenham, equaling his best ever tally in the competition.
He also hit 30 EPL goals in the 2017/18 campaign. Kane scored 41 goals in all competitions that season – his most prolific club campaign to date.
