Kate Henshaw...feeling the heat.

Veteran Nollywood actress Kate Henshaw is fuming over the unending power outage in Nigeria, which has left residential and industrial concerns grappling with extra energy costs.
For more than two months running power supply has been has at an all-time low in various Nigerian cities. Power generating companies have blamed the development on shortage of gas supply in a country that has an almost inexhaustible gas reserve.
Speaking in a video posted on her Instagram Friday, Henshaw urged the minister of power Joseph Olasunkanmi Tegbe who had practically gone to sleep to wake up and find solutions
“Come on, Mr Minister of Power. No light. There’s no light. There’s hardly been any electricity. You people bring it for maybe five minutes, and then it’s gone,” Henshaw who is the spokesperson of the Actors Guild of Nigeria fumed.
Mr Tegbe who was appointed by President Bola Tinubu in April 2026 had promised to turn the power situation around, he even boasted that there was constantly power supply, people are urging him to slow down a bit, but it seems things are getting worse.
“You were credited with a statement that in September, some people were telling you that you should turn off the power because the things in their freezers were freezing. What’s a freezer for?” Henshaw added.
“I need the names and numbers of these people that called you and said you should turn off the lights, or you should slow down or whatever it is you imagine they told you. There’s hardly electricity in 2026.
“I’m sorry that people are telling you should slow down. Slow down what? We are meant to have electricity this 2026. I’m just so angry.
“God will judge all of you. God will judge you people.”
