Portuguese and Galatasaray striker Rafael Leao has showered teammate Victor Osimhen with praise for giving him the opportunity to score his first goal for the Turkish giants.
Leao who joined Galatasaray in the summer from AC Milan was still searching for his first goal in Turkey until Friday in their game against Konyaspor. Osimhen presented him the opportunity net his first goal from the spot in Galatasaray’s 4-0 win.
Osimhen opened scoring and had the opportunity of having a second from the spot but handed his penalty duties to Leao.
“I really appreciate that moment. He knew I’ve been working a lot and searching for my first goal,” Leao told Galatasaray’s YouTube channel.
“We were speaking, and today or yesterday was the birth of his second child. I told him to score two goals.’’
“He could have scored the second goal, but he gave me the ball. It’s about the kind of attitude we have, so we have a great group.
“I am really happy to have this kind of teammate in the squad.”
