A Nigerian midfielder player Quadri Liameed is recovering well after suffering a vicious kick to the head during a Spanish division 2 league Saturday night.
Liameed who plays for Sabadell was caught in the head by Jose Corpas of Albacete who was attempting to volley a loose ball in the air. Liameed was knocked cold and had to be rushed to the hospital.
It was later disclosed by Sabadell officials that he regained consciousness at the hospital and was undergoing further observation and tests.
“The best of the news has arrived! Quadri Limeed has received medical discharge after all the tests have come out well and will return tonight to Sabadell!
“We want to thank the medical services of Albacete for the help received at all times.”
Liameed has been a key player for Sabadell this season, featuring in all of the club’s 12 league matches.
He has provided three assists as Sabadell are nine points off the top in the race for La Liga promotion.
