Manchester United are in the hunt for a new centre foward when the January transfer window opens in 2027.
And several reports in England are suggesting that Victor Osimhen topped their wish list as United seek for a potent striker that can deliver games for them as they hunt for Premier League and European Champions League success.
Football transfer Fabrizio Romano confirmed that Manchester United are in need of a top striker in January and have a list of options. This also include Dominic Calvert-Lewin of Leeds United.
“Man Utd are struggling up front, Man Utd have decided to explore the strikers market for January. They are looking for a No 9, a traditional striker,” Romano said on YouTube.
“Man Utd want to consider a move regardless of what happens with the coach. So, unless a new manager arrives and says, ‘I don’t want a striker’, which sounds unlikely because United clearly need something up front, the club started exploring opportunities for a new central striker.”
According to The Express Osimhen is one of the goalscorers United might open talks for in January. But it remains to be seen if the player could be swayed to cut short his stay in Istanbul. He had spoken of his desire to remain with Galatasaray till the end of the season, before discussing his future.
