Wife of ensnared content creator Ifeanyi Ogbonna, a.k.a Odogwu Asaba, has claimed that her husband did not rape Favour Agbro but only made love to her based on a relationship they had.
Favour Agbro, a 2-year-old nursing student, in a social media post had claimed that she was sexually assaulted by Odogwu Asaba in a hotel after he allegedly lured her there under the pretense of giving her money she had requested for. She later ingested harmful substances, claiming in her suicide note that it was because she felt violated and shamed by Odogwu Asaba. The police picked up the 40-year-old content creator and he is awaiting trial.
However his wife claimed that her husband did not rape or murder anyone: “Odogwu Asaba did not kill anybody. I know my husband…. Odogwu Asaba did not rape Favour. Odogwu Asaba only had an affair with the girl.”
“He cannot rape, he has never. Even when he did not have fame, he did not rape anybody, is it now?”
“I am trying to follow the matter the right way; I have not been silent. I want to let you people know that no matter what happened, he is my husband and I stand with him 100%. I’m not going to turn my back on him,” she said.
She added that her husband must not be tried on social media.
“How I feel, what I feel, how I see it is my personal decision. Everything is not actually the way they presented it. Before I could come out to talk, I have learnt a lot about this matter. Social media is not a courtroom. You people should bear that in mind.
“Yes, someone has died and that is why we are taking it easy. But Odogwu Asaba did not kill anybody,” she said.
