Social activist and influencer, Martins Otse, a.k.a VeryDarkMan said he is ready to prove the allegations he made against the Nigeria Police Force on Tuesday at Port Harcourt venue of the Nigerian Bar Association annual conference.
VDM had claimed that the police aided and abetted bandits and other criminals by relaying information to them. This unsettled the NPF hierarchy and on Thursday VDM was invited by the Inspector General of Police Olatunji Disu to come and throw more light on the allegations.
Speaking on the invitation VDM doubled down on his claim saying on his Facebook page: “On the Nigerian police I SAID WHAT I SAID, you will get your evidence when I am charged to court.
“I repeat THE POLICE ARE THE UNKNOWN gunmen and they aid kidnappings. I’m going to give the police my evidence. I will be charged to court and I will tender the evidence in the court,” he declared.
Meanwhile President Bola Tinubu’s adviser on media and publicity, Sunday Dare has blamed the NBA for inviting VDM to the annual conference and giving him the platform to “insult” the police.
“So, NBA gave its platform to a rabble rouser to make unguarded and reckless accusations against the Police and our security agencies,” Mr. Dare posted on his X social media platform.
