A Katsina Football Club player Chinedu Ozor who was declared dead and deposited in the mortuary on Tuesday was found alive on Wednesday morning.
Ozor had collapsed during a pre-season friendly against Niger Tornadoes at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina and was declared dead on arrival by doctors at the Katsina General Hospital.
However, later in the day a mortuary staff noticed movement in his body and subsequently he was moved back to the ward and placed on oxygen.
According to Katsina United media officer Nasir Gide, confirmed the development. He started that Ozor had on two occasions experienced a similar episode but came back to life.
Club officials and football fans are now waiting for further improvements as the player remains in critical condition at the Katsina General Hospital.
While at Heartland FC Ozor suffered the same ordeal and medical experts are calling for thorough examination of the player’s anatomy and taken measures to prevent further episodes.
