Abia State governor, Alex Otti, has made good his promise to help pay the medicals bills of stricken veteran Nollywood actress, Ngozi Nwosu.
According to Martins Justice who is the special assistant on tourism and entertainment to governor Otti ₦25 million has been forwarded to the hospital where Nwosu is receiving treatment.
“Yesterday before the close of work, His Excellency @alexottiofr, our pragmatic leader, made good his promise, directing a ₦25m payment to the hospital’s account where our Nollywood legendary actress, Mrs. Ngozi Nwosu, is receiving treatment.
“We thank you immensely for your support and kindness of heart, sir. History will be kind to you,” he shared on X on Thursday.
Nwosu who is down with undisclosed alignment had made a passionate appeal to Nigerians to help her raise N30m for her to undergo three surgeries that would keep her alive.
“My people, my fans and my family, I know that you’ve not seen me in circulation for some time. I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks. Please, the thing has gone beyond my control,” she said.
“I need your help. Don’t let me die. I know that you people never forsake me… I’m begging you, my fans and family, don’t let me die because I am going through a lot, as in pain.”
