Gloria Ibru, veteran jazz singer, band leader and entrepreneur gets her turn to be on the spotlight at The Forum by O’jez on Sunday July 26, 2026.
Ibru who turned 61 in March 2026 is one of Nigeria best known jazz singers and continues to entertain her fans and followers after so many years of making and investing in music.
She said in an interview she had been exposed to music at a very young age and had lived with it all her life and will continue to live with music till the lights fade out.
Born in Lagos to Nigeria’s first billionaire industrialist late Olorogun Michael Ibru, she is the only recognised female to own and lead a band and has been guest entertainer in many celebrity clubs and corporate events. She also regularly holds her popular event GIAF (Gloria Ibru And Friends)
According to Mr. Effiong Nyong who is director of media and communications for the O’jez entertainment group, having Ibru to grace the Elder’s Forum by Ójez is an enticing prospect, and she would be duly celebrated at the event, which usually holds at the O’jez Sports Lounge National Stadium Surulere Lagos, and starts at 6.pm.
“Gloria Ibru brings so much energy with her presence and we are looking forward to an evening of enticing entertainment.
“She has made significant contributions to the growth of Nigeria music and the entertainment industry and no doubt, she would be also looking forward to sharing her experience with young up and coming entertainers,” said Mr. Nyong.
The Elder Forum by O’jez is a monthly platform meant to honour Nigerians who have uplifted the entertainment and closely related industries.
