Oshiomhole and Peter Obi...political jibes.

Former Edo State governor Adams Oshiomhole said Nigerians should not expect 2027 presidential aspirant Peter Obi to tackle insecurity in the country if he becomes President.
Oshiomhole who represents Edo North in the National Assembly during a chat on “Mic On” podcast with host Seun Okinbaloye Sunday, submitted that during his tenure as Anambra State governor Obi failed to tackle the dread Bakassi Boys criminal gang.
He noted that it was hypocritical of Obi and former Vice President and Africa Democratic Congress 2027 presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to question President Bola Tinubu’s handling of insecurity in the country, when during their time in office they failed to tackle the problem.
“Peter Obi could not fix security in Anambra State, he can’t fix Nigeria. It took the intervention of governor Willie Obiano, who took over from him, to begin to destroy the properties of those who he believed had used them for kidnapping.
“I was a governor then; my state was safer than Anambra.
“Everybody knows that things are not perfect, but a statesman must provide answers… We haven’t heard anything other than this buzzword, ‘do the right thing.’ What is the right thing? What is the left thing?” Oshiomhole asked.
He argued that Obi would not be able to garner votes like he did in 2023 in the upcoming elections.
