Nigeria’s Super Eagles made Poland sweat for a 2-2 draw on Wednesday night in Warsaw after Terem Moffi and Paul Onuach had put the team ahead.
But following a second half collapse by the Super Eagles a disease which has cost them many crucial games, defender Calvin Bassey said the team must be able to see out their games.
Bassey submitted that the Super Eagles seemingly lack mental strength to hold on their leads is something that must be worked on.
“It is important that we must see out our games, this is something we must have to work on,” Bassey said.
He noted that maintaining concentration until the final whistle remains a key lesson for the team as they continue to develop their chemistry and tactical understanding.
Team captain Wilfred Ndidi submitted that the super Eagles despite their lack of staying power will continue to step up in all their games.
“We always try as much as possible to get a win in every game. With our philosophy, with our vision, and most importantly, it is to try and give a good game, try to be at our best and try to see if we win the game.”
