Oborevwori... defending his in-law.

Delta State governor Sheriff Oborevwori Tuesday sent a passionate plea to Deltans not disappoint first Lady Oluremi Tinubu by joining those who want to vote out her husband in the 2027 presidential election.
Oborevwori said Oluremi Tinubu being a Deltan is enough for citizens to support their “In-law” President Bola Tinubu.
“The man is an in-law here, and it would be evil to vote against your in-law. It’s a family affair. In the South-South, the people in Delta are saying this is their own,” Oborevwori said while speaking on Arise TV.
He claimed that the Itsekiri tribe where Mrs Tinubu hails from is solidly behind Tinubu and also, the Urhobos will vote Tinubu because of him Oborevwori who is an Urhobo man.
“The First Lady is holding the state strong, and no Itsekiri person will vote against Tinubu. No Urhobo man will because their son is the governor.”
He argued that President Tinubu has put the country on the right path to recovery even as cost of goods and services keep spiraling out of reach for many Nigerians.
“The confidence we have is in the people. His reforms and programmes are working very well. Sometimes when I commission projects and tell people we have money, it’s because of the reforms. If they are not working, we won’t get money,” the governor added.
