Nigeria’s Super Eagles Saturday night beat their Jamaican Reggae Boyz counterparts 3-0 in the final of the 2026 Unity Cup.
Alhassan Yusuf scored a brace and Terem Moffi added the third at The Valley Charlton, London England.
The Super Eagles dominated the game from the opening whistle. Yusuf shot Nigeria ahead in just two minutes after capitalizing on a chaotic scramble in the penalty area following a long throw-in.
The Super Eagles maintained their intensity throughout, effectively stifling Jamaica’s attempts to find an equalizer.
The lead was doubled in the second half when Femi Azeez, who had been instrumental throughout the tournament, delivered an inch-perfect cross that Terem Moffi headed home with confidence.
As the match approached its conclusion, Nigeria refused to sit back. In stoppage time, Yusuf struck again to complete his brace, sealing an emphatic win and securing Nigeria’s place as the premier side in the competition.
This victory marks a significant milestone for head coach Eric Chelle, reaffirming Nigeria’s status as a formidable force in international football as they continue their undefeated streak in the Unity Cup. With agency reports
