President Bola Tinubu vowed Wednesday to win a second term in office, saying he would be forced out by the opposition parties plotting his downfall.
Tinubu made the remarks while hosting a delegation from Plateau State led by Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang. Tinubu submitted that he remained focus despite mounting criticism of his administration on its handling of insecurity and the political gang up by the opposition parties.
“They tried to get rid of me, but I refused to go. I am a very stubborn politician… I will campaign for my second term, and I will win,” Tinubu said.
He added that despite increase in insurgency, banditry and criminal activities in the country, his administration is not weakened.
“You are playing to the hand of agents, including my own enemies, who want to use insecurity to get rid of me.”
On Tuesday House of Representatives member, James Faleke picked up the All-Progressives Congress (APC) Expression of Interest and Nomination forms for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
The forms, valued at ₦100 million, were on Tuesday presented to Faleke at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja by the party’s National Organising Secretary, Sulaiman Argungu.
