Top European clubs wishing to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer are keeping a close watch on the striker as he would likely lead his Galatasaray’s assault against Fenerbahce in the Istanbul derby on Sunday.
According to Turkey outlet Milliyet Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Juventus agents will be in Turkey to watch the game at the Rams Park. Osimhen’s profile continue to rise following his consistent performance this season. He remains a topic of speculations for top teams in Europe. Barcelona and Real Madrid are reported to be keen to sign the Super Eagles top striker.
So far he has scored 19 goals and seven assists in 30 appearances this season. His contract with Galatasaray expires in June 2029, but Galatasaray could be tempted to let him go for a fee of $130m.
Ahead of Sunday’s game Fenerbahce had tried to prevent Osimhen from playing because of the cast on his arm.
Fenerbahçe filed a formal complaint to the Turkish FA, protesting that the protective gear could be dangerous to opponents. But their request was turned down as the brace was medically acquired and approved after consultations with football authorities.
A win for Galatasaray will almost guarantee them the title. They lead four points clear from Fenerbahce with four matches to go.
