Afrobeats star David Adeleke a.k.a Davido said he is having a second thought about joining politics following the little success made by celebrities who had sought for elective positions.
Davido who has seen relatives like Isiaka Adeleke and Ademola Adeleke who is currently Osun State governor thrive in politics suggested that he was in interested in following their lead.
Speaking during a chat on Twitch with streamer Davrel, Davido stated: “Before, I wanted to go into politics but honestly, now, I see it two ways.
“All my years of goodwill, my name and my career, all the hard work and the fan base we have built, it is tricky because the way people look at things; the superstars that have gone into politics, the transition hasn’t really been successful.
“I feel like if you are a politician, you are a politician. It is like it is their business,” Davido said.
