Former England and Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer said it would be “incredibly tough” for Arsenal to win the Premier League.
Arsenal recently have seen a dip in form losing the League Cup to title rivals Manchester City and on Saturday crashing out of the FA Cup following their 2-1 defeat to Southampton in the quarter-final.
Arsenal still have two trophies to play for – the Premier League and Champions League.
In the league, they sit nine points clear of Manchester City, with seven games left.
Shearer has now questioned the “mental” impact losing to Southampton will have on Mikel Arteta’s men and their title aspirations.
He told Betfair: “After Arsenal got knocked out of the FA Cup, it will be incredibly tough for them, mentally, to go on and achieve what they want to achieve.” With BBC reports
