A 57-years-old man in Kentucky, USA shot his wife dead following an argument about getting house cleaned up.
According to the Louisville Metro Police Department, Patrick Brents shot his wife Carolyn Ross at their Louisville home on March 14. The couple were arguing about getting the house cleaned before a planned trip when the shooting occurred.
In the heat of the argument Brents went to bedroom, grab his gun, according to court records obtained by WDRB, he returned pointing the gun at his wife and despite pleas by a their son not to shoot, Brent fired shots at his wife, she was hit in the abdomen and was pronounced dead in the hospital later.
Their son asked his father why he shot his mother, Brents allegedly replied: ‘She’s shot.’
The son ran outside and told another family member to call 911, prompting police to rush to the home on the 600 block of Southwestern Parkway.
Brent told the police that he grabbed the gun with the intention to leave the house when it went off hitting his wife, he has been charged with first-degree assault domestic violence.
