Meghan Markle and Netflix have ended their partnership with As Ever, the lifestyle brand founded by the Duchess of Sussex.
According to reports by Page Six Meghan failed to secure a third season on the streaming platform.
A spokesperson for Netflix confirmed the split while emphasizing that the relationship with Markle remains positive.
“Meghan’s passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways inspired the creation of the As Ever brand, and we are glad to have played a role in bringing that vision to life,” the spokesperson noted.
They added that the brand was always intended to eventually operate independently.
“As it was always intended, Meghan will continue growing the brand and take it into its next chapter independently, and we look forward to celebrating how she continues to bring joy to households around the world.”
Sources close to the situation also suggested the move was part of a broader plan for As Ever to stand “on its own two feet,” noting that Netflix and the duchess will continue to maintain a supportive relationship.
Markle and her husband, Prince Harry, originally signed a reported $100 million production deal with Netflix after stepping back from royal duties in 2020.
Their projects have included the successful 2023 documentary series Harry & Meghan, which became one of the streamer’s most-watched releases at the time.
However, more recent projects have struggled to generate the same attention. The documentary Polo and Markle’s lifestyle series both underperformed in viewership.
