Nigerian born Arsenal and England striker Bukayo Saka left Nigerian music diva Temilade Openiyi a.k.a Tems reeling with shock when Saka told her he never heard of world acclaimed pop singer Celine Dion.
Tems was guest of the “Link Up” a show promoted by the Arsenal Football Club who are currently aiming to win their first Premier League title in 25 years.
Saka who was hosting Tems wanted to know her musical influences and of course Tems mentioned the Canadian born singer who she idolises.
“I don’t know who that is,” Saka said, laughing.
Tems was flustered by Saka’s seemingly innocent ignorance: “You don’t know who Celine Dion is? Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh.”
Tems was born in the 1995 when Celine Dion reigned supreme mega hits, she grew listening to songs like “Power of Love” 1993, “My Heart will go on” done in 1997,”That’s the way it is,” 1999.
Saka was born September 2001 and grew up listening to rap, rhythm and blues, Afrobeats.
