Former Super Eagles striker, Victor Moses is facing a lengthy lay off from football after rupturing his Achilles tendon during a Russian League game last Saturday.
His club Spartak Moscow beat Ural 2-0 in the match, but Moses was a major causality and according to the club, he will be out for as long as six months.
Moses shocked Nigerian football fans when he retired from the Super Eagles after the World Cup in 2018. He was a major contributor to the Super Eagles triumphant run at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations. Moses scored 12 goals in 37 appearances for the national team.
He scored 18 goals in 128 appearances for Chelsea, winning the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup at Stamford Bridge before moving to Russia in July 2021.
