Nollywood actress Regina Chukwu has revealed how an advice she reluctantly took from fellow actor Akin Lewis almost led to her untimely death.
Speaking in video recently uploaded to YouTube Regina Chukwu narrated that five years ago while on film set in a location, the hotel she was lodged was stormed by armed robbers and she was taken away to ATM where all her savings was empty by the robbers.
According to her, she had completed her shoot late at night, around 1:00 a.m., and was asked by the producer to spend the night at a nearby hotel alongside Akin Lewis, who had an early trip to Oyo State the next morning.
“I was on a particular set about five years ago. And after we finished shooting at 1:00 a.m., I was lodged alongside actor Akin Lewis in one hotel at Ayilara Street,” she said.
Chukwu explained that upon arriving at the hotel, she noticed it was frequented by prostitutes and voiced her discomfort, refusing to stay. However, Akin Lewis persuaded her to remain at the hotel out of respect for his age and status.
“But listening to his plea was my biggest regret,” she said.
