Spooked by the 3-0 spanking Nigeria handed Benin Republic last weekend, Rwanda are leaving no stone unturned as they prepare to face the Super Eagles Tuesday in the group D qualifier of the African Cup of Nations in Kigali.
Team captain Djihad Bizimana said every player would turn up ready to give 150 percent and with the support of the home crowd they hope to get a good result that will launch them into their first AFCON finals since 2004.
Rwanda played a 1-1 draw against Libya in their opening game in Tripoli and according to Bizimana that result should be built on.
“We are going to give 150%. It would be difficult for us if we do less than that,” Bizimana told the press on Monday.
“We know that we are going to play against a tough team but all I am asking Rwandans is to come and support us. They won’t go back home disappointed,” he added.
