Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo has expressed satisfaction with the progress made by Solution FC so far in the Nigeria National League while highlighting the importance of team work and dedication as a panacea for success.
The team campaigning in the group B of the NNL is currently rubbing shoulders with established teams like Warri Wolves, Giant Brillers, Osun FC and Crown FC in just two months of existence.
Speaking while receiving players and officials of Solution FC led by Anambra State Sports Development Commission chairman, Patrick Estate Onyedum Tuesday, December 12 at the Governor’s Lodge, Prof. Soludo praised the team for it’s brilliant outing so far.
“I must commend the players and management crew for your achievements so far despite being together for a short period. You are our ambassadors outside the state and you have represented us in the best possible way.
“I know you have what it takes to succeed and I can assure you of my support towards the growth and success of the team both now and in the future,” Soludo said.
Governor Soludo informed that although the football club is yet to be unveiled officially, there is need for the players and management crew to make hardwork their watchword by staying focused, disciplined and remaining committed to the set goals and objectives of the team.
The Governor emphasized the importance of teamwork and how each player’s contributions to the team’s progress remains vital to the overall success of the team. The number one citizen of the state harped on the essence of mainstreaming sports economy through increased sports participation and promoting fitness for the citizens both young and the aged.
Responding, Emmanuel David Okoye, captain of the team, thanked Governor Soludo for finding time to host and receive the team despite his busy schedules. Captain Okoye opined that the meeting was a morale boost to the entire club structure as it will serve as a huge motivation geared towards achieving positive results during their league matches.
He pledged that the ‘Solution Boys’ will continually put in their best in ensuring that Anambra’s name is put on the map through club football.
Highpoints of the occasion was the redeeming of the monetary incentive cum pledge made to the team by governor Soludo before the team’s match day four cracker against Osun United.
