Former Manchester United defence stalwart Rio Ferdinand has urged the club to go after top striker Victor Osimhen for he has potentials to add bite the team’s attack.
Ferdinand disclosed that he had a conversation with the Galatasaray striker and he is open to moving to old Trafford, if his club approve.
Speaking about their conversation, Ferdinand explained that he had advised Osimhen to listen if Manchester United approached him.
“I told him, ‘Victor, if Manchester United calls, you’ll have to listen’,” Ferdinand revealed.
According to the former United player Osimhen responded: “Rio, that’s a different question. I can’t do it unless Galatasaray approves,” Osimhen reportedly told him.
The former Manchester United defender also maintained that Osimhen could make a significant difference to the club, particularly following the injury to Benjamin Sesko.
“I don’t think people fully understand how much a striker like him can change Manchester United,” he said.
