US President Donald Trump has had his wings clipped by American voters in Tuesday’s midterm election by overwhelmingly voting blue over red in most of the contested Senate, House and Governorship races.
The voting is a repudiation of President Trump’s rule of norm busting governance, introduction of policies that puts more money in the hands of the rich, making basic commodities unaffordable and causing divisions between American communities.
Democrats are now in control of the Senate and the House of Representatives, ending Republican control of Congress and giving the Democrats a powerful check on President Trump for the next two years of his term.
Some of the devastating blow delivered to the Republicans include the defeat of Texas governor Greg Abbott by Democrat Gina Hinojosa and the defeat of Trump and Elon Musk supported Ken Paxton by James James Talarico in the race for Senate.

The Democrats flipped seven seats held by the Republicans in Iowa, Kansas, Maine, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Texas in the wipe out, which has humbled Trump. He said his party lost because he was not on ballot, but for most Republican he was the cause of their downfall.
The next two years of Trump’s regime will be an interesting game vetoing Congress legislature meant to curtail his excesses, and on the hand, impeachment awaits him if he crosses lines, he should not cross.
Former President Barrack Obama who had been on the campaign trail stomping for Democratic candidates said: “American people sent a clear message: They want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
“These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country, including in areas once considered long shots.
“They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.”
