The mother of the co-pilot flying the doomed Learjet 60 that crashed in Florida USA has revealed that she had always nursed the thoughts that her daughter would be taken away by a plane disaster.
Twenty years old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras was the co-pilot of the Learjet that crashed in Florida on Sunday killing all nine people on board.
According to New York Post reports it was the voice of Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras that was heard pleading for help before the aircraft crashed and burst into flames.
Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras had always dreamt of flying from a young age and she got her pilot license while still in high school at 17.
She had logged in more than 1,300 hours of flying and was looking forward to achieving more aviation feats before the tragic turn of events when the Learjet traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas practically dropped out the skies.
Her mother Camila said she had been working as a commercial pilot for nine months and would have turned 21 in January.
“I knew that a plane was gonna take her away from me. I always knew it but I was so proud of her. I know she was living her dream,” she said.
“I wanted her to live her dream, but I knew that her dream was going to be the thing that would take her away from me.”
