Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and other security agencies in Kaduna are watching over billboards and posters of President Bola Tinubu ahead of his campaign tour of the State on Saturday
President Tinubu, seven northern governors and his All-Progressives Congress supporters will converge at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium, Kaduna to flag off the 2027 presidential campaign; with posters and billboards dotting the city under threat of vandalisation by enrage youths.
Several officers of the NSCDC, the Kaduna State Traffic Law Enforcement Authority (KASTLEA) and other local groups have been stationed major streets and roads leading to the Kaduna Township Stadium, the venue of the expected rally.
“We were assigned alongside KASTLEA marshals to protect Tinubu’s billboards and posters from being vandalised before the campaign rally. Our duty is mostly at night because that is when the youths can carry out such acts,” one the men told Daily Trust.
In some northern States posters and billboards of the APC have come under attack by youths who are chanting anti-Tinubu slogans.
Kaduna itself has come under security lockdown with armed police showing their presence at major major roads and roundabouts.
