Galatasaray top striker Victor Osimhen is thrilled that his visit to Lile fetched the Turkish giants their first win of the season’s Champions League.
Osimhen scored the last goal of the 4-2 victory Galatasaray posted over the French side.
“I’m happy we got the three points,” said the striker adding it was a tough match to win.
“Lille players are very tough. They even took the lead. We managed to win the match together as a team.”
On his return to Lile where he came to European limelight he stated.
“I love this stadium. The fans are incredible. We had a tough match. I’m very happy for our team; we won. I also wish Lille good luck in their next matches.”
Osimhen scored in the 61 minute after Galatasaray had their noses in front to make it 3-2.
Osimhen rubbed salt in the Lile wounds with a clinical strike against his old club on a lightning counter-attack.
