Anambra State governor Charles Chukwuma Soludo and his Osun State counterpart Ademola Adeleke have called on Nigerians to re-elect President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
With roughly 45 days to go for the January 16 elections, both governors have reiterated their support for President Tinubu who seem to be unpopular with majority of Nigerians hard hit by his economic policies. But according to governor Adeleke and Soludo four years were not enough for Tinubu to turn the fortunes of the country around.
“We must give our father, the President of this nation, time for his reform to work. It’s not easy. Four years is not enough,” said Adeleke while speaking during Wednesday’s All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council inauguration at the State House Banquet Hall, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
“That is why I’m here to throw my weight behind the President.
“Nobody can stop this movement,” he told the gathering. “We’re going to sing, we’re going to dance all the way back to Aso Rock.”
Soludo added that all progressives’ groups must unite behind Tinubu: “We in Africa believe in the unity of Nigeria. We believe in the security of Nigeria. We believe in the shared prosperity of Nigeria.
“I have called before that all progressives in Nigeria must unite. This is an opportunity that we must not miss.”
