Plateau based cleric Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo has drawn the ire of social activist Martins Otse a.k.a VeryDarkman over his recent call for Nigerians to pray for President Bola Tinubu’s success at the 2027 elections.
Pastor Dachomo is a known critic of the President’s non-committal response to the killings of “Christians” in Plateau and other middle belt States and he also accuses President Tinubu and his Vice President Kassim Shettima of trying to Islamise Nigeria.
“How did Reverend/Pastor Ezekiel Dachomo move from criticising Tinubu to campaigning for Tinubu? How he moved from Vice President Shettima and Tinubu wanting to Islamise Nigeria to praying for Tinubu’s administration? What changed?” VDM quarried.
VDM said Dachomo had previously spoken out over insecurity in Plateau State, criticised the government and called for intervention from the United States, making his latest appeal for prayers for Tinubu surprising to him.
However, Pastor Dachomo stated that his words of prayer were for Nigeria’s progress and it wasn’t an endorsement of Tinubu or support for a Muslim-Muslim ticket in the 2027 elections.
