Nigerian music diva, Tiwa Savage said she is ready to face fellow musician Teniola Apata, a.k.a Teni, who had challenged her to a boxing bout.
Teni had thrown the challenge to step into the ring with the “Eminado” singer saying: Instagram: “MAMA!!! make we fight @tiwasavage 3billion later I go apologise for outside the boxing ring.”
Responding Tiwa Savage said: “Pick a date.”
It is not clear if both singers are serious about stepping into the ring or just joking about the recent bout between Josephine Otabo a.k.a Phyna and Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing in a celebrity boxing bout in Lagos. The bout, held on Oct. 1, was part of Balmoral Group Promotions’ “Chaos in the Ring” series.
Phyna won the scheduled four-round contest by knockout, while skit maker Carter Efe defeated rapper Speed Darlington in another celebrity bout at the event.
The series has previously featured entertainers such as Portable, Charles Okocha, Speed Darlington, and Carter Efe in celebrity boxing bouts.
Carter Efe had earlier defeated singer Portable by unanimous decision in a three-round bout at the same venue in May.
