Delta State commissioner for secondary education Dr. Kingsley Ashibogwu who allegedly orchestrated the violence that led to the death of a director in the ministry is said to be on the run.
The director Mr. Unity Adeda was violently attacked on Thursday September 24 by some civil servants working for the commissioner after a minor altercation at the government secretariate in Asaba in what appear to be a workplace bullying, which seem to be a common occurrence in the Delta State government circle.
Last week a government official was rough handled for refusing to fill a form to see the commissioner of environment in the same secretariate they are working.
Sometime in July Temple Mudi, the protocol officer to Delta State governor Sherif Oborevwori, was brutally attacked by thugs working for Ruben Izeze the commissioner for works who was put in prison in Warri only to be released recently.
Meanwhile the Delta State government has set up a commission of inquiry to the killing of Mr. Adeda a level 16 director. Even as observers believe governor Oborievwori seem to be handling the matter with kids gloves.
So far there has been no arrest made of the four individuals who allegedly brutally assaulted Mr. Adedi who was recently transferred to the ministry of basic secondary school education.
According to the Delta State government the panel has two weeks to unravel the circumstances surrounding Adeda’s death and enable the government to address all issues arising from the incident in accordance with the law.
Mr. Adedi...brutalised at his workplace succumbed to his injuries.
