A Nigerian Pastor Kedi Samuel Kenechukwu popularly known as Ekedi Samuel is on the run after Cameroonian police discovered a mummified body concealed under a concrete slab at a property that belongs to his Church Mercy of God Ministry in Yaoundé.
According to reports by the Cameroon Tribune, the discovery was made on September 19 by the police during an investigation over an alleged involvement in human trafficking and kidnapping.
Ekedi Samuel has been operating in Cameroon since 2018 and has established branches of his Church in different locations around Cameroonian Capital. Trouble started on September 6 when 20 persons including 10 women, eight men and two minors were found camped in a basement a branch of the Church in Ngousso area of Yaoundé.
This prompted a broader search of his Church property leading the to the discovery of the mummified body cased in a white and gold coloured coffin and hidden under a concrete slab about 1.5m deep.
Ekedi Samuel is believed to have slipped out of Cameroon as police and Interpol launch a manhunt for him to provide answers for the shocking discoveries in the Church property.
