Veteran Nollywood actor Norbert Young will have his moment at the September edition of “The Forum by O’jez” in what promises to be another evening of entertainment and discussions on national and social issues.
Mr. Young who became famous for appearing in moves like “Edge of Paradise,” “30 Days” and “Tokonbo,” will be celebrated for his contributions to Nigerian cinema and creative arts at the event billed for Sunday September 27 at the O’jez Sports Lounge National Stadium Surulere Lagos.
Norbert Young was born in Sapele 67 years ago, a last child in a family of eight children. He attended primary school in Sapele and Lagos.
He did his secondary school in Delta state and worked as clerk in a federal government department before gaining admission into the University of Ibadan to read Theatre Arts. He also attended the University of Benin where he graduated in Theatre Arts.
He did the National Service as a teacher of English language and Literature in AKCC Kano, Kano State, and then joined the advertising world as a copywriter and client service executive for three years before resigning in 1993 to concentrate fully on Theatre and film practice.
He has participated in numerous stage and film productions at home and abroad. He’s also a teacher of acting and directing.
He also featured on TV series like “Third Eye,” “Checkmate,” “Tinsel Town” and “Family Circle.”in several plays and stage productions.
