As Nigerian football fans and stakeholders look forward to the next board of the Nigeria Football Federation, veterans Sam Pam Jnr and Danjuma Isandu have tipped ex Super Eagles Striker Benedict Akwuegbu as most qualified to lead.
Akwuegbu also known as Austrian Bomber following his explosive goal scoring form in different parts of the World is owner of Akwuegbu United and FC Mbaise and has what it takes to revive Nigerian football.
Sam Pam Jnr, ex star of defunct BCC Lions of Gboko Leventis United of Ibadan and Orlando Pirates of South Africa said Akwuegbu would guarantee a successful NFF if surrounded by other credible veterans like Segun Odegbami MON, Adokiye Amiasimaka and others”, he said.
“Akwuegbu is very reliable, and credible. He has been taking other ex-players along apart from spending millions of Naira on his players and coaches. He carries veterans, pro and grassroot players along. He has been visible long after scoring several goals for Super Eagles of Nigeria.
“This is the best chance for Footballers to be in charge of football administration, so we must give total support to our veterans.”

In his own submission, Danjuma Isandu former star of defunct JIB Rocks, Mighty Jets and now Assistant General Manager of Plateau United FC said he has total confidence on Akuegbu, ex top scorer of leading clubs in.Asia, Germany and France beside unforgettable exploits at Austrian club Grazer A k.
The ex-captain of Plateau United said: “Nigeria is blessed with veterans who can take us away from the present football wilderness.”
He noted that apart from the blood, sweat and energy to win for Nigeria, Ben Akwuegbu is fully tested and trusted by both young and old stakeholders.
“He is not selfish or radical. He is humble and attentive. He is well respected for his discipline and professionalism. He achieved a lot as a player and doing extremely well in managing his several clubs, academies, coaches and stakeholders nationwide and as such, he’s the best man for the job,” he concluded.
