Iheanacho, Akor Adams lead Super Eagles attack against Russia’s “The Boys”…Benjamin Federick returns

Super Eagles coach Eric Chelle Thursday released his list of players who will play against Russia in the October 6 international friend at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
Leading the team’s attack are Kelechi Iheanacho who is enjoying a new lease of football life in Turkey with Bursaspor FC and Akor Adams making waves in Italy with Venezia. Fast rising defender Benjamin Federick who missed the AFCON 2025 tournament due to injury is back to the team.
Others who made the list include captain Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali, defenders Bright Osayi-Samuel midfielder Raphael Onyedika.
Chelle also handed Finland-based goalkeeper Samuel James, Switzerland-based defender Victory Akpe, Chibuzo Nwoko, Stephen Michael, Igor Wilfred, Ridwan Abdulrasaq and Suleiman Mubarak the chance to make their debut with the Super Eagles.
