Tottenham best player in the 2025/26 season Richarlison has called on the world soccer governing body to help persuade Tottenham to terminate his contract after he was demoted to the reserve team.
Richarlison wants to head back to Brazil and play for Vasco as a free agent, since coach Roberto De Zerbi omitted his name from his official 25-man Premier League squad. According to Brazilian outlet Globo, Richarlison is furious with Tottenham’s decision not to register him for the Premier League.
The 29-year-old player was subject of a swap transfer deal involving Iliman Ndiaye moving to Tottenham while Richarlison moves to Everton his former club, but the deal collapsed on deadline day
Speaking on the player’s situation De Zerbi said: “‘So, Richarlison is a good player, yes. He was important last season, yes very important. He’s a good guy, yes. But in the end, I have to stop putting pressure on the players if the players show me, they want to leave.
“So, I’m sorry for him but we have to go to another page and work with Dominic Solanke and Omar Marmoush.”
