Galatasaray sure missed their danger man Victor Osimhen in Tuesday’s Champions League game against Sporting Lisbon.
Turkey football expert Sinan Engin said Sporting Lisbon were not very exceptional in their 3-2 win as Galatasaray dominated and created chances, which were begging to be finished off.
“Galatasaray had possession percentage but no results. Perhaps Sporting Lisbon are one of the weakest teams they could play against in the Champions League. I don’t accept that Sporting is a flying, amazing team,” Engin said.
“If Galatasaray had been a little better, and Osimhen had been there, this match would have been very different.”
Osimhen will miss two to three weeks of action following the groin injury he suffered in their 3-2 win over city rivals İstanbul Basaksehir last Friday.
Galatasaray hope he would be back in action before their next Champions League tie against Barcelona in Istanbul.
