Nigeria Football Federation has confirmed that the Super Eagles will play against the Russian national team in an friendly that would be decided in Nizhny Novgorod Russia October 6.
According to the NFF the Super Eagles will face the Russian team four days after they play against Namibia in Yekaterinburg. The match will come a week after 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Nigeria and Russian played a 1-1 draw in their previous encounter in June 2025 with Tolu Arokodare scoring his first goal for the Super Eagles.
The Super Eagles on September 25 will tackle Madagascar at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo and travel to Bissau to face familiar opponents Guinea-Bissau on September 29 before travel to Russia.
Tolu Arokodare...had a good outing against Russia in 2025.
