Reality TV star Natacha Akide a.k.a Tacha, has denied fraudulently obtaining N5M from the wife of a man needing a kidney transplant.
Tacha was accused of obtaining the sum by a woman who identified herself as Olajide@joph007 in an Instagram post. Following the accusations Tacha was arrested by the police at her residence in Lagos on August 30.
Speaking during an interview on the issue Tacha denied ever meeting the person accusing on Instagram of collecting the money from another woman who was raising the funds for the treatment of her husband’s illness.
“I have never spoken to the woman in question before,” Tacha said. “Somebody just came online and accused me of collecting N5 million from a woman who is seeking financial assistance for her sick husband. Meanwhile I have never spoken to the woman before.”
According to Tacha her lawyers are currently pursuing the case maintaining that the N5 million fraud claim is completely false and said she is cooperating with authorities to clear her name.
