World famous Country music legend Dolly Parton has died at 80.
She died peacefully in her home in Nashville, USA Tuesday August 25 leaving behind a legacy of unmatched achievements in the country music genre.
No cause of death was given by her nephew Bryan Seaver who announced her passing in social media video post.
However, over past one year she has had health challenges especially after she lost her devoted husband of 60 years. She famously told her fans last October she was still hanging on by posting on social media
“I ain’t dead yet.”
Dolly Parton came to limelight with her hit songs “Jolene,” which she followed with others like “Coat of Many Colours” “I will always love,” which brought worldwide fame back in the 1970s.
The country icon sold more than 100 million records worldwide, and wrote over 3,000 songs in a career that spanned six decades

Born in rural Tennessee on Jan. 19, 1946, Dolly grew up as the fourth in a family of 12 children, honing her musical talents from a young age through appearances on local radio stations. With her heart set on performing, she moved to Nashville at age 18, taking little more than the values her parents instilled in her.
