Ace music producer and Mavin Records executive, Michael Ajereh, a.k.a Don Jazzy, has praised Afrobeats star Ayra Starr for her musical rise and exploits.
Don Jazzy who took a risk signing Ayra Starr at 18 after spotting her freestyling on Instagram noted that the “Rush” crooner has changed not only her life but also his.
The Mavin Records boss made the remark on X on Thursday while responding to a fan who applauded his role in Ayra Starr’s career.
“She has most definitely changed my own life too. I bless the day I was shown her Instagram freestyle o. And she has been nothing but a dream Starrgirl,” Don Jazzy wrote.
Ayra Starr has become a global rising music star establishing herself as one of the leading voices in Afrobeats.
Her latest work “Starrgirl” released on August 14 jump to number three on the Spotify top ten albums in the UK.
The 16-track album features collaborations with Nigerian stars Wizkid and Rema, as well as international artistes including ZAYN, Leon Thomas, kwn, Theodora and Danny Ocean.
Wizkid features on “Gimme Dat”, while Rema appears on “Who’s Dat Girl”.
