The sad soap opera that has become of the Psquare musical brothers took another twist Friday with Peter Okoye a.k.a Mr. P, alleging that his mom and his brothers never wanted his wife Lola to bear his son or even marry him.
Mr. P who was speaking in an emotional video posted on his Instagram social media platform recalled that when Lola was pregnant with his child his brother wanted the pregnancy terminated. But he was so over excited to even consider such.
He said, “when I was 27 years old, my girlfriend then, Lola, became pregnant. I didn’t want the news to break from someone else, so I decided to announce it myself.
“We attended the Soundcity Awards, and after receiving the award, I dedicated it to God Almighty, our fans, and everyone who had supported us.
“Lastly, I dedicated it to the mother of my unborn child. Immediately after that, Jude and Paul walked out, saying my announcement would ruin our career.
“They insisted that Lola should abort the baby. They even forged an email to frame her, claiming the child wasn’t mine and accusing her of using the pregnancy to trap me.
He also recalled another time when his mom and his brothers called a family meeting just to tell Lola she was not wanted in the family.
“My son was about five or six months old. When my mom visited, I gave her the master bedroom and moved into Jude’s room. I was expecting my mom to ask, ‘How is your new baby?’ My mom didn’t ask. She just said, ‘How is Lola? I hope she’s fine.’ She said, ‘Can you tell her to come?’ I said, ‘Okay, do you want to see the baby?’ She said, ‘No. Let her come first.’
“Then Lola was living on the Island. How do you expect me to tell Lola my mom wanted to see her and ask her not to come with the baby? I had to lie to Lola not to come with the baby because we had fumigated the house.”
“Everybody was seated… I went to call Lola. When she entered the room, nobody stood up or said, ‘Lola, sit down.’ Nobody even bothered to welcome her properly. Lola and I just sat on the floor.
“Young woman, we the Okoye family have decided that you should leave our son alone,” Mr. P’s mom allegedly said.
He continued, “I said, ‘What is going on?’ A few days earlier, Lola and I had had a small quarrel, so she looked at me thinking maybe I had planned this to end the relationship. She said, ‘Babe, what’s going on?’ I asked my mum the same thing. Next thing, Jude said, ‘Leave our brother alone.’ and he even called my son a bastard… I looked at Jude’s face.”
“Lola started crying. The pastors tried to calm her. They pushed Lola out of the house.”
However his twin brother Paul a.k.a Rudeboy posted on his Instagram: “Unfortunately, you’re not here to defend yourself. Continue resting, Mum.”
The twin brothers and their elder brother Jude have been feuding for over five years now over music royalties, management and family disputes.
