Vinicius Jr. will stay another six years at Real Madrid after agreeing to a new six-year deal.
The move sealed any prospect of him joining Premier League champions Arsenal. There have speculations that the Brazilian will change clubs.
“Eight years at the Bernabeu are too short,” Vinicius wrote on Instagram. “Six more years and forever.”
Vinicius joined Madrid in 2018. He totaled 128 goals over his first 375 appearances for Los Blancos. He also won 14 titles, including three in La Liga, three Spanish Super Cups, three Club World Cups, two Champions League crowns, two UEFA Super Cups and the 2023 Copa del Rey.
Vinicius totaled 16 goals and five assists over 46 La Liga appearances in 2025-26, when Madrid (27-6-5) finished second behind rival Barcelona (31-6-1).
His four goals for Brazil at the 2026 World Cup were tied for the eighth-most at the tournament.
Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho will kick off its La Liga campaign against Espanyol on Aug. 22 in Barcelona. With agency reports
