Claims by former Department of State Services assistant director, Dennis Amachree that late former head of state General Sanni Abacha died while having sex with his girlfriend’s sister has been debunked.
Abacha’s chief security officer Maj. Hamza Al-Mustapha rtd, said Mr. Amachree’s narratives in his memoir “The Shadow Warrior” were false.
“The boy was asked by others to write those lies. I have all the CCTV footage of what happened is in my custody, so what he said is not true,” Al-Mustapha told journalists during the 3rd General Hassan Usman Katsina Memorial Conference held at Arewa House, Kaduna, on Saturday.
“Just ignore his lies. It’s bad to say such things about someone who is dead,” he said.
Abacha ruled Nigeria between November 17, 1993, to June 8, 1998, when he died at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. It was speculated that imported Indian women fed him with an apple until Amachree last week made the claim.
Al-Mustapha who was like Abacha’s right-hand man has consistently rejected allegations and narratives he believes misrepresent the late Head of State or the events of that period.
