Nigerian security agents...launching manhunt for kidnap victims.

Gunmen who kidnap mourners accompanying the corpse of deceased Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) commander, Augustine O. Ikwue to his hometown in Benue State, has asked for N450m ransom to free their captives.
Nine mourners including two FRSC officials were seized by the gunmen at along the Ochadamu-Ejule road in Ofu Local Government Area of Kogi State last Thursday at about 6.00pm. The remains of the FRSC commander were abandoned at the location but later retrieved for burial by his family in Otukpo.
Kogi State Sector Commander of the FRSC, Lawal Fagge, confirmed the development saying a team of army, police and local hunters are on the trail of the gunmen with a view of rescuing the victims.
Former minister of internal affairs now Senator representing Benue South described the incident as shocking. He noted that the gunmen couldn’t even reason that it was a convoy going for a burial of a deceased person.
