A Kano hotel where minors are regularly seen frolicking has been ordered closed by the Emir of Kano Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II.
This was after residents of Kureken Sani, Kumbotso Local Government Area of Kano State raised concern about the illegal activities going on at the hotel named Stephrica Guest Palace Hotel.
The directive was issued through the Kano Emirate Council under the leadership of the Galadiman Kano, Aliyu Ibrahim Matawalle, after the council reviewed petitions submitted by members of the community.
The Emir directed the owner of the hotel to convert the property into either a school or a hospital to better serve the needs of the community. The council noted that such a transformation would provide long-term benefits to residents, particularly in the areas of education and healthcare services.
“We are grateful to the Emirate Council for listening to our complaints and taking appropriate action after due investigation,” Muhammad Sabi’u Yahaya who is Kureken Sani Community Development Association chairman.
