Nana Otedola has dismissed the long held public view she is a citizen of Ghana.
The amiable wife of billionaire entrepreneur Femi Otedola, made the clarification in a online video she did with her daughter Temi Otedola.
Nana is a common Ghanaian name and it was assumed that she hailed from the Asante kingdom but according to her she is a full blooded Yoruba woman from Egbaland.
“To clear the room for everybody, I’m an Egba woman, and that’s the part I’ll gladly claim as a Nigerian. I am not a Ghanaian; my roots are in Abeokuta,” Nana said.
“I was born in Kaduna and lived there for almost two decades.”
She also shared that her full name is Nana Fatima, a name given to her by her grandfather during her ‘Sunnah.’
“I go by the name Nana Fatima, given to me on my ‘Sunnah’ by my grandfather,” she added.
